Airtel alerts invalid due date 30-Feb-09

Either the software of an Airtel is wrongly programmed or may be a mistake by the operator who sends the alert SMSes on mobile-phone. Yesterday evening @ 7:14pm I received a SMS from AM-BilAlert saying..."Your 12-Feb-09 bill is due on 30-Feb-09. Kindly pay ontime to enjoy continued services. Ignore if already paid. To pay from your Mobile, SMS AIRTEL to 543219."

Although I have received the above bill in which the due date is correctly printed as 2-Mar-09, I was just wondering what type of calendar Airtel is using in their software to send me such invalid due date as 30-Feb-09. So stupid... this SMS made my the joke of the day.

However I received one more SMS in which they informed to ignore the due date reminder SMS and inconvenience is regretted.

Many explosion and firing took place at Colaba, Napansea Road, Vileparle, Santacruz, CST Station (also known as VT Station). So far 100 people died and more than 200 people are injured. Some Policemen are also dead and injured in cross-firing. Grenades were used for explosions and AK-47 by terrorist confirmed by the ACP Devan Bharti.

CST station was evacuated and cordoned off by Mumbai Police. Nobody was allowed to enter. Central railway trains were stopped for several hours. One police officer have seen two people armed with automatic weapons fled between platform Seven and Eight at CST. Gun shootouts were heard.

Mumbai top five star Hotels such as Taj and Oberoi are attacked by terrorist. Oberoi Hotel's lobby is under fire. 6 blast took place in Taj hotel and 2 blast in Oberoi hotel. Hostages takes place in Taj and Oberoi. 100 people are rescued from Taj Hotel but still more are trapped. Terrorist are spread everywhere in Taj and killed many Taj staff members. Army men are called out in Mumbai.

Some Police vans are also used by Terrorist to attack on roads. ATS Chief Hemant Kakare killed in cross firing. Police Encounter Vijay Salaskar and Ashok Kamte shot dead.

School, Colleges are likely to remain shut in Mumbai. People are advised to remain indoors.

Patna youth shot dead in BEST Bus in Kurla

Sources revealed that youth Rahul Raj was travelling in BEST Bus on Route # 332 which travels in Mumbai from Kurla West - Railway Station to Andheri East - Railway Station (Agarkar Chowk). In morning around 9:45am when the Bus reached Bail Bazaar area in Kurla, this man first fired at the cop near Police Chowkie No.3 from double-decker BEST bus.

I always travel by this Route No.332 towards the journey between my home and office. Thankfully I escaped this firing one hour before today and reached my office safe.

Sources said this man was sitting on the Upper-Decker of the bus, when he strangle with a steel-chain to the conductor who asked him to buy a journey ticket. The bus then was stopped near a Police Station by the bus driver and the cops were called immediately by the conductor.

When the two constables arrived at the spot, they saw the youth carrying a Hand-Gun started firing on air and shouting 'Jai Bihar.., Jai Patna'. More Policemen were called thereafter to handle this situation.

He also threw some currency notes in which he had written his expression to meet the commissioner of Police and wanted to kill Raj Thackeray - the MNS Chief. He was asked to surrender by the cops on loudspeaker in return.

However when the youth ignored the announcement made by the cops and continued firing, the cops too opened fire and he was injured severely with the bullets. Thereafter he was taken to the Hospital at Rajawadi in Ghatkopar but declared dead.

I am writing this post to let you know this is a SCAM...they take your hard earned money, give you a lame classes and after completing your course only false promises - no jobs!.

We are definitely in the world of computers age and so it's the necessity for everyone to be a computer literate. You may have got some basic trainings from your siblings, guardians or friends but still not enough to go along-with. A proper education and certification in today's world is the most important criteria in your career field.
Everybody knows these and goes in search for a good computer institute especially one offers nice job guarantee. We get very excited with their many offers attached to the course content like extra free practical hours, free online guide, open projects, affiliation to many big brands to get you dream jobs, personal finance and much more. Remember as old people says... "Do not believe in when too good to be true".

Many big brand institues offer classes even to those peoples who are actually not qualified due to improper knowledge, undergraduate, poor academy skills, lacking with proper talent, bad communication. Institute consellors are quite smart to target these type of students with big talks and false promises in lieu of getting big money easily.

Not all institutes and not all branches of the same brand classes are scamming. However you should do some research of that institute before enrolling for a computer course.

Follow the Tips below:

Go for a computer course which is relevant only to your field and not for the latest buzz going around for any unknown course.
Check the classes they conduct and class timings.
Cross check the progress with earlier students of the same branch.
See the specimen copy of certificate they will provide you.
See the library and good computers are whether installed.
Meet the trainer to know whether he/she is properly literate in the relevant course to train you.
Know the job guarantee they offer.

If you are not sure about which course to enroll then I suggest you to have an appointment with the professional career consultant to let you know to choose correct path for your career.

Is these the quality of adidas bag has gone so much down? or the promotion offer of the IRCTC is cheap? Whoever the responsible may be but we are the customers to loose. It seems the promotion offers are made for such damage products or out of date products.

To enjoy this service you should be a registered ICICI mobile banking customer. Upon requesting this service, the person to whom sent the money can withdraw cash from any ATMs enabled for this service...

Rs.10/- plus tax applicable per transaction is charged by the bank for remittances upto INR 5,000 and Rs.20/- plus tax applicable for remittances above INR 5,000 towards processing fee. This will be debited from your account on placing a request.

Upon successful authentication of the transaction, a 4-digit code is sent to the registered mobile customer and a 6-digit code is sent to the beneficiary's mobile number that is provided while placing a request.

SBI has started GST (Government Service Tax or Goods and Service Tax) Charges @ 12.36% of the purchase in your Credit Card monthly statement.

On looking at the statement I spoke to the customer care executive to know about GST (the only 3 letter code mentioned in the statement with no hint). Thanks for the prompt connection and overall feedback was 9/10. He explained...

Earlier GST charges were not shown to the customers in the statement but were included automatically in the purchases. So now onwards SBI Card has split the purchases and GST charges separately to show their customer the debit and credit of the Credit Card in details.

So don't get surprise when you see your statement with the charges billed as "Total GST Debit for Current STMT"

The Staff of Rationing office harasses the people of Kurla residences. Every now and then they come up with the new issue and send back the claimants to come later.

People usually visits this office to Add or remove any units from their ration card provided by the Maharashtra Government. Although the work require to get it done is very small, the staff takes the time very long.

Some following wrongs you will note at this office...

Staff people comes late daily for almost more than half hours.
Staff people misguide the fellow and illiterate claimants without proper looking at the case for the solution.
Staff people does not file the documents properly for which many important papers and sometime Ration Card is lost due to their negligence.
Staff people cannot retrieve any case documents easily if it is more than a month old.
Verification Inspectors does not visit every cases to verify the documents and people living at their homes.
Staff people does not maintain the register properly for the action taken to the cases.
Staff people have no sympathy to show even to fellow and pregnant claimants.
For every issue you will be called several times for stupid reasons.
Staff people does not have proper co-ordination between their staff people.
For many problems they themselves don't know the solution.
Even the head of the department (the boss) does not speak politely.
All staff including seniors and heads have foul mouth.

Ajay, Kajol angry with Rock-n-Roll contestants

Ajay Devgan, so far 2 times national award winner and Filmfare’s Critic award winner for his best performance in Bollywood is an angry man. We all have seen now on Rock-n-Roll show presented by AirTel on ZeeTV where he talks angrily with contestants on May 3rd.

The issue was about the 'Format' which is brought by 'Rock-n-Roll' show for inviting new comers to compete with present contestants. With this new format idea, contestants were not happy and wanted to leave the contest. The debate begun when one of the contestant raised his voice for not happy with the format introduced in between. The host anchor Sharad Kelkar too argued on same rather than explaining the format to satisfy the contestant.

Sharad said:

"We have already started showing Ads of our show 4 weeks before and cannot change the format. This is our show and we will go with our format as we want."

When contestant asked to call eliminated competitors as wild entry instead of calling new comers... Ajay Devgan expressed his angry feelings for them.

Ajay said:

"Kya problem hai aapka? Mujhe lag raha hai aap darr rahe ho new comers ko bula rahe to" (What is your problem? I think you are worrying for loosing this contest..)

When contestants were asking the same of calling eliminated competitors, Ajay - Kajol said:

Why call eliminated? They are not required and we want new comers. Our show is different from others and we do not want eliminated. We are the judges and thats decided.

Both of them walked out without finishing the debate arise on the floor.

The way Ajay and Kajol acted bossing them was really harsh. They are quite experienced and was not expected to raise the issue become big. We all know the basic operation of windows like... how to start any application such as Notepad, Paintbrush, Word document, etc. etc. Generally we point our mouse cursor to Start menu, then Program menu and then point towards our require application and a click to launch. I hate moving my hand along with my mouse here and there, searching and then to launch.

The other way is to create shortcut on your desktop. Still I hate creating lots of shortcut on my desktop. My wallpapers look ugly and mess up my desktop. If you feel the same and are looking for an other alternative then read ahead.

Remember, the more you keep your mouse away the more you will do your work faster. Therefore we will use the Keyboard to launch any application. Yes I mean it! any application means any application. You can even start your favorite application with a few Key Strokes.

Run Command dialog box

To type command you should open first 'Run command' dialog box. Shortcut key to open 'Run Command' dialog box is to press 'Window Key + R'.

Some programs does not have shortcut commands to launch from 'Run command'. In order to launch these applications we need to create its first shortcut to launch later. This setup is once to install in your windows directory.

Just follow the Steps given in picture below to create shortcut...

Step-1 Point your favorite program and create shortcut on desktop by right clicking

Step-2 Locate and select the shortcut on your desktop. Cut to move [Ctrl + x]

Step-3 Go to windows directory and Paste [Ctrl + v]

Hurray! Setup is done! Now you are ready to launch your favorite application. Just type the shortcut name created in windows directory in 'Run Command' dialog box and hit 'Enter' key on your Keyboard...... Voila!

I have switched to Dual Card technology Mobile Phone and bought this D-88 Model handset in Jan 2008 for INR.7500/- Finally my search for good phone which support 2 card ended here. Yes this is the best handset among all dual card phones I have seen with amazing features.

Earlier I had two different handsets for Reliance and Airtel. Apart from SPICE handset, the only other thing I had to purchase was Reliance UIM Card (also known as SIM Card) for INR.300/- to support this phone. This card is the upgraded technology to support new latest CDMA enabled phones. Within 20 minutes of time my Reliance UIM Card was activated in my SPICE handset at Reliance Web World. Airtel network connected with not much of time for the first time. And this how both the lines were online. Please note TATA users can also use this phone with their SIM Card instead of Reliance here.

I chose my preferred network by default (primary) as Airtel coz of its good low call rate and Reliance as secondary. But this does not mean only Airtel or Reliance will work one at a time. Both the lines can be online and does not require to reboot. I can receive incoming calls to any of my number and can dial outgoing number from any of my number. If preferred network selected the default (primary) option will be at top priority to dial and send SMS from that number.

A quite decent look, it is adequately sized and reasonable to use. Buttons are like Motorola... not to worry for any accidental dialing.

With a touch of the button you can also record and play all your videos. I enjoy capturing all precious moments with its 1.3 mega pixel camera. Nice scrolling image viewer to view picture files easily (Up and Down). While shooting you can Zoom upto 4x. TFT Screen with 262K Color display gives me a mesmerizing video experience quite unlike anything I may have seen.

Integrated MP3 player with 1 GB of Expandable memory lets me store all I want. Further I don't need any PEN Drive. Now I store my office and personal files in this phone memory stick.

What's more, the GPRS enabled makes this mobile and my PC web browsing possible and keeps me connected even on the move! And yes... I can send and receive MMS!!
